Richard Weems Cello is such a wonderful instrument--deep and rich and versatile, and such range. But outside of Kronos Quartet and Joan Jeanrenaud's solo work, I was having trouble finding contemporary cello work that really thrilled me. Keating's music is ambient, haunting and complex. Well, well WELL worth your time! Favorite track: Icefloe.
